Donald J Gunn, born July 11th 1961, was a son, brother, friend, poet, and local guru in the Melbourne and Melbourne Beach area for nearly 60 years.
Many remember Don from interactions that they had with him on the beach and will always remember his beaming personality and sparkling blue eyes. Others remember Don from the bars and coffee shops of Central Florida, where he could be found supporting local art and music. Don graduated from Eau Gallie High School with the class of 1979 and went on to pursue a career in precision machining. Although Don was permanently disabled after a motorcycle accident, he transformed the accident in to an opportunity to create art and spread hope and positive energy to everyone around him.
Don left this world on Saturday, October 10th, 2020. He is survived by his Mother Dale Ann Gunn, Sister Carol, and Brother John Gunn. He is also survived by the hundreds or possibly thousands of people who remember him, his bright personality, his words of wisdom, and his eternally tanned skin. We wish Don the best for the next part of his journey.
